Midtown Graphic Apartment

This client, B, has a deep love for color! Our goal was to incorporate the brightest and most saturated colors without creating an overwhelming or overly vibrant atmosphere. We achieved this by strategically selecting key areas to showcase color and avoiding an excessive use of it throughout the rooms. The living room takes center stage in this home, boasting cathedral ceilings and a central fireplace.

To enhance the visual appeal, we chose to make the fireplace wall a focal point by painting it a vibrant teal and commissioning a custom sculpture. The Trivial Pursuit sculpture, a striking 6-foot-wide piece made of black iron, adds a unique touch to the space. Crafted by a local ironworker in Jersey City, the piece was custom-made and hung to perfection. Given B and their family's love for games and trivia nights, this piece aligns seamlessly with the atmosphere of the room.

B's two musically inclined sons possess a collection of beautiful guitars, which we wanted to showcase prominently. The living room rug by Flor was custom-designed to fit the expansive space, featuring a gradient that incorporates all the colors of the rainbow. This adds a dynamic and cohesive element to the overall design, complementing the lively and vibrant aesthetic without overwhelming the space.
